General statement + Access information

The Sound Doctor strives to ensure that its shows are accessible to all people. We are using external resources to help make our website easier to use, with the strong belief that website accessibility efforts assist all users, alongside our belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

The Anglesea Memorial Hall, in which we present our shows, has an accessible entrance at the side of the hall, and accessible toilets. Please get in touch if you are coming to a show and would like more information, or to let us know if you have specific requirements.

For performers wishing to play, the stage has 3 steps at front and back stage on both sides. There is no platform lift installed. The dressings rooms are accessible and there is a single step to access toilets backstage – the front of house toilets are accessible.

The hall is owned and managed by the Surf Coast Shire and all questions on infrastructure management should be directed towards them via email on info@surfcoast.vic.gov.au or by phoning (03) 5261 0600.

Accessibility on our website

We have installed the UserWay’s Web Accessibility Widget, which is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows us to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

Enabling the Accessibility Menu

The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.

Disclaimer

The Sound Doctor Presents continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.
In an ongoing effort to continually improve and remediate accessibility issues, we aim to identify and fix possible accessibility barriers. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on our website fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution, and capacity limitations in our not-for-profit organisation.
